Project overview
Three-phase civil engineering scope for Compressor Station 1 on the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) gas pipeline — from site clearing through equipment foundations, internal roads, and full living and operational facilities.
Compressor Station 1 (CS1) is a critical node on the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline — a 614 km, $2.8 billion national infrastructure project led by NNPCL to transport 2.2 billion cubic feet of natural gas daily from Ajaokuta to Kano. CS1 compresses gas arriving from Escravos before sending it onward through the pipeline.
Gladtrico delivered the full civil engineering scope for CS1 in three phases — beginning with site clearing and filling, then the perimeter fencing and access road, followed by the equipment foundations, internal road network, and finally the operational and residential facilities. The buildings completed include staff living quarters, warehouse, workshop, and IT building.
Engaged via Lee Engineering, the works supported a strategically important asset in Nigeria's domestic gas supply network.
